WHAT I'M DOING

  • Mood:
  • Music:
Lately Iv'e been bored, I'm off from duty and still waiting for the hospital's to call me up for available slot. Though I'm happy that at last, I have been hired as a nurse in a private hospital but I find it difficult to become a reliever. It's not always that you have a job, they'll just text or call you up 2-3 hours prior to your duty. What, 2-3 hours? Yes, I really felt uncomfortable with this. What if I came from tiring errands from home or having travel trip. So what's my priority? But I guess I should be patient enough because this is my job and finding  a job here in our place is very difficult for lots of nurses are here and many of them are home bound, still waiting to get hired. At least me, have a contract though..hehehe

air jordan retro shoes cakeRetro Jordan 11 cake Redux

I'm a Jordan Fanatic. I have the one, the two, and the Three. I recently bought the eight, the thirteen and the twenty two.Jordan nowadays  hard to find. But once u have them, the fulfillment is just overflowing. You can't just buy them in Nike shop because they are old school. You should have the patience to find it. Some may find it weird that I'm talking about shoes. For me, its part of our grooming. Once u have them on, it feels like  your wearing  your plain white shirt and your baggy jeans, it doesn't matter lol. It's really cool once you see your idol rappers wearing the same shoes you have like Nelly, j.d, bow wow. and more. Just watch the music video of Nelly, J.D., and Ciara. Step on my J. ayt!! peace out.

how to choose a car

I really like cars, cars and cars...

Choosing a car is an important decision that merits careful planning. You are likely to live with this vehicle for quite some time. These pointers will help you choose wisely.

Decide what you intend to use the car for, such as daily commuting, recreation, weekends and evenings out, carrying things, towing a trailer, carrying more than one passenger, driving in the city, suburbs or country.

Consider factors that are important to you, such as fuel efficiency, reliability and safety features.

Come up with a realistic budget, based on what you can afford (consider the monthly payment and cost of upkeep). If you're considering a trade-in, check the Kelley Blue Book value of your current vehicle. The Blue Book is a catalog of new- and used-car values, available at libraries, banks and online at www.kbb.com. Factor your car's trade-in value into your total budget.

Find a car that interests you and check the stickers on the window. The first (and sometimes only) one is the factory sticker, which lists the MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price), and the second is the dealer's sticker.

Tell the sales representative that you'd like to have a look inside the car, or just hop in if it's unlocked. Adjust the seat and mirrors, and check leg room in each part of the car.

Ask to take a test drive. Start out on city streets and then head out to the highway. Pay attention to steering ease, turning radius, braking response and acceleration. Adjust the mirrors and radio while you're driving to test convenience.

Inquire about availability and delivery time, especially if you're interested in a popular model or want special features.

Factor the dealership and its sales staff into your choice. A dealership you can trust, especially one with a competent service center on site, is worth more than money in your long future with the vehicle. You can, of course, have your car serviced at any dealer authorized by your new car's warranty.

Start negotiations on polite and friendly terms. Comment on what you like about the car and ask questions. The intent is to make the seller comfortable.

why I BLOG

Whilie browsing some blogs, a question pop out my mind, what's the reason for my blogging? Perhaps all of us may have different reasons for blogging like keeping it as a diary, share interesting things with friends, family and others and share professional knowledge and experiences.

Blogging is not specifically about making friends or making enemies and its not about pleasing people. Of course it's always a good practice to reach out and extend the conversation to others in your niche but not at the expense of your journalistic integrity.

Blogging is more about being open and being honest no matter what you write about, and writing passionately. If you do it right and help people, of course you will make them happy, and if you do it maliciously, well, then... If you write a positive review you will probably win some friends, and if you write a negative one, you are bound to get some hate mail, but all of this comes with the territory. If your intention is just to please people then not only are you compromising your integrity but you are setting yourself up for failure because you can't please everyone all the time.

So why do you blog and what do you think it's all about?

What IS Blogging?

First things first, where did the word blog come from?

The term blog actually came from the word weblog. It is a website where various entries are created and made similar to a diary ora journal, but they are displayed in a chronological yet reverse order. What blogs basically are is that they provide different commentaries online as well as news on particular topics. Thesecould include politics, food or any opinion voiced by the blogger in a fashion that is similar to a personal journal. An average blog contains a mixture of text, links to other website blogs or websites, images and other forms of media that could be related to the blog topic. Although most blogs are more text-heavy, others also offer photographs (also known as a photoblog), video log (or vlog) or audio. The word blog is also used as a verb which means to add or maintain content.

The origin of blogs

Believe it or not, blogs were first called chronicles, diaries and even perzines. There were even e-mail lists as well as BBS orbulletin board systems which are also considered as predecessors of the blog.

One of the early bloggers

A man named Brad Fitzpatrick was one of the early bloggers in the internet. However, these early bloggers never called themselves bloggers but journalists and diarists. Some even called themselves and even coined the term escribitionists. The precursor to the blog that most know now was updated frequently by Kibo. This early form of blog was a personally made website that expressed its views in a manner that is tongue-in-cheek. Early forms of weblog were actually just components that were updated manually. But when the tools that would facilitate the creation, maintenance of articles for the web became a lot more accessible to the larger population, this resulted in the mainstream utilization of blogs.

Where the term "blog" came from

"Weblog" was first coined by a man named Jorn Barger back in 1997. The word "blog' was then created by Peter Merholz who then separated the words "we" and "blog" on the sidebar of his own blog back in 1999. One of the sites that helped blogging become more popular was Xanga. Back in 1997, there were only 100 online diaries in its site. However, by the year 2005 there were more than fifty million blogs in Xanga..

Political blogs

It was in the year 2004 when blogs were used as a forum to voice out political opinion that political candidates used them as tools to reach out and be "near" to their constituents and even form opinions. This was shown when both the 2004 Republican and Democratic parties used blogs as a part of their arsenal.

Blog types

There exists a video log, a photoblog as well as a linklog (a blog that is composed primarily of links). There are also blogs written with the use of a cell phone or any other mobile device such as a PDA, these are called moblogs.

The blog entry anatomy

A blog basically consists of a title (usually the headline), a body (where the post's content is found), permalink (the URL of the full article), post date (the date as well as the time when the blog was posted). Other optional blog entries include the comments page, the categories (various subjects which a particular entry discuss), the trackback (the links to the sites that the entry refers to). All in all, blogging is one way to voice out comments as well as link up to other similarly themed blog sites or individuals.

what's with the blog world?

  • Mood:
My girlfriend convinced me to join blogging. She said it was fun and at the same time you can earn money from it. At first, I was reluctant because this is not my world. I'm more inclined with my love for cars. So to make the story short, after months of convincing, I gave in. I made my own blog with her help lol!

So what's this blog thing all about? How does it work? How can we earn money from posting things on our website? But she then warned me, it takes time, love and patience to become a successful blogger. Hmm, sounds complicated, but I was then intrigued with this new world. How about trying this one and let's see what will happen next.
